The Centre for Distance Education, Aligarh Muslim University has established five Study Centres in different parts of the country. The Director, Distance Education Centre, Dr. Mohd. Rizwan Khan said the AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis has granted approval for the establishment of these centres at Makhdoom Abdul Qasim Educational and Welfare Society, Saharsa, New Horizon School, Bhagalpur and Al-Aziz Educational Foundation Trust, Muzaffarpur in Bihar while the remaining two centres will be established at Asim Siddiqui Memorial Degree College, Badaun and Madrasa Serajul Uloom, Sambhal, Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Khan said the approval has been given without any financial commitment on the part of the University and that these centres will function under the purview of the Centre for Distance Education. The Distance Education Centre will offer graduate and undergraduate courses at these Centres.
