Dr. Asad Ali Khurshid, Senior Lecturer of Persian at Aligarh Muslim University has been
nominated for President’s Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of Persian language and literature. This Award is given by the President to the young scholars of less than 40 years. Dr. Asad is the first such young scholar in the Department of Persian who is to receive the prestigious award. Dr. Khurshid’s two books, Bastanul Ikram and Ahd-e-Khaljian-e-Hind Ki Farsi Mansurat have received wide acclamation. In addition, more that 20 research papers of Dr. Khurshid have been published in prestigious journals.
