Terming the demolition of Babri Masjid as the greatest terrorist act in independent India, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind once again demanded from the Government to expedite the measures to rebuild the Masjid on its own foundations and subject the culprits involved in the demolition of the Masjid to due punishment, thereby fulfilling the requirements of equity and justice.
In a statement on the 19th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition, JIH Secretary-General Nusrat Ali said the Babri Masjid demolition has been haunting the minds of 20 crore Muslims and all the truth and justice loving persons ever since. They have been taking peaceful and Constitutional measures to get their due right, and they will be continuing to do so. However the undue delay in getting their rights is causing grave concern to them. “Therefore it is our strong demand from the Government that instead of prolonging the issue it wipes the ugly spot on the face of the nation by solving the issue soon,” Mr Ali stressed.
