The Delhi High Court, on 20 March, said the Bollywood was making money out of vulgarity and nudity. Hearing a Public Interest Litigation seeking ban on the Movie Race 2 for excess of nude scenes and vulgar dialogues in it, the High Court said the films should be held responsible for misleading youths and spreading vulgarity among youngsters. Encouraging the applicant, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice D Murugesan, said that the move to file a PIL against the movie is praiseworthy but it should have come earlier as most movies were on television within days of release without any editing for family viewing. It further added that the Centre should have the power to review certification given to a film by Censor Board of Film Certification in case of complaints from the public.
