Soon after the report of ANHAD claiming that as many as nine Muslim traders have been forced to quit their business in a month in Gujarat published, one more Muslim, on 28 March, complained to the National Commission for Minorities that fascist forces have been traumatising him since the communal tension took place in the area last month. The victim, Mustafa Patel, in his complaint, said that some people forced him to shut down his hotel and the same is closed since 9 February 2013. He claimed that they have political influence and threatened him of dire consequences if he opened the hotel again.
Patel runs a hotel at Warangam Highway, about a distance of 90 minutes from Ahmedabad. He claimed that the Court has provided him with police security but the state government did not arrange it.
