Israel Way to Power?

“Any Arab leader who believes that Israel is the way to win power, will lose himself and will make his people lose. He will get no reward for his relationship with the occupation (Israel).” With these words, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, Musa Abu Marzouk, commented on the news of the war criminal Khalifa Haftar sending his son to the Zionist entity, seeking help to win the presidency in Libya. This is under a deal in which Haftar is committed to full normalisation with Israel if he wins.

Unfortunately, the current situation in the Arab world is that the claim, that those who promote normalisation (with Israel) lose, is purely emotional. These are the dreams which are destroyed by all nightmares seen by liberation and resistance movement. There is evidence which confirms that the path to power, or security of staying in power, passes through the Zionist gateway.

During last eight years, the years of war against the Arab citizens’ spring, Israel was the mastermind, and the official sponsor of all the coup d’états against the peoples’ revolutions. This is the reality since the first strike against the spring in Egypt in 2013, as the coup makers realised from the first day that Israeli support is a sure guarantee to gain foothold.

Now we have reached the moment when Khalifa Haftar is presenting papers for his candidacy for the presidency of Libya to the Zionist occupation authorities.

Assad Back to Arab Home

The visit of the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Damascus did not come out of a vacuum. There is a comprehensive context of it. On December 27, 2018, the UAE reopened its embassy in Damascus, and on March 27, 2020, while Syria was facing the threat of the spread of the Corona pandemic, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a phone call with President Bashshar Al-Assad, discussed ways to address the crisis. He affirmed his country’s support for the Syrian people in these exceptional circumstances, clearly stating that “human solidarity in times of adversity transcends all considerations.” He stressed that “Syria will not remain alone in these critical circumstances.”

On October 20, 2021, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi received a phone call from the Syrian President, during which they discussed the situation in Syria and the Middle East.

A few days earlier, the UAE Ministry of Economy said that the UAE and Syria had agreed on plans to boost economic cooperation and explore new sectors.

In late March, the Arab summit will be held in the capital, Algiers, where the efforts are on to make Syria return to the fold. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed’s visit to Damascus may be an occasion to send messages in several directions, including the Arab Gulf states. Some of which are still rejecting the return of Syria to the fold.
