IsIta Crime to be Christian in Secular India?

We, the Muslims, should condemn the perpetrators for their illegal, unconstitutional inhuman acts. Islam teaches us to stand by marginalised, persecuted and voiceless people irrespective of their religion, nationality, race, colour, etc.

In Chhattisgarh State, two Christian nuns were arrested on the charges of forced conversions and human trafficking. SistersPreeti Mary Vandana Francis were booked under Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Chhattisgarh Religious Freedom Act 1968 without any concrete proof of forced conversions and human trafficking. Now they have been released on bail.

It seems that their religious identity has come in the way of their arrest. In other words, the greatest crime of these nuns is that they follow Christianity.

Christian institutions have been doing exemplary work silently in the field of education, healthcare and during natural and man-made calamities without any discrimination. There is no reason to doubt their bonafides and integrity.

We, the Muslims, should condemn the perpetrators for their illegal, unconstitutional inhuman acts. Islam teaches us to stand by marginalised, persecuted and voiceless people irrespective of their religion, nationality, race, colour, etc.

It is to be noted with displeasure that certain international organisations (which are famous for their impartiality and neutrality) have said unambiguously that religious minorities are being targeted under the present regime.

My sympathies are with two nuns in particular & Christians in general. Hope for the best.

Marriage Decision

Of late, an unhealthy trend has grown that an employed boy is evermore interested to marry an employed girl and vice versa. Its basic objective is to further develop their socio- economic condition resulting in the high standard of living, luxury and comfort in life in future. On the contrary, an unemployed boy is not interested to marry an unemployed girl and vice versa as they are having no income source needed to maintain the family.  In fact, a couple experiences an untold misery if it losessource of income after marriage. Under this circumstance, unemployed boys and girls do not like to enter into the wedlock but prefer to remain unmarried, even forever.  The parents who have unmarried daughters at home badly suffer from anxiety for their marriage in time.

Except the rape, the homosexual and consensual sex is not considered illegal and punishable in India. It provides an opportunity for unmarried ones to involve in homosexual and consensual sex. It is purely adultery highly in opposition to all religions and ethics in India. It is medically proved that the persons who thus gratify the sexual desires are at higher risk of contracting gnawing diseases like AIDS, gonorrhoea, syphilis and impotency in future.

Islam prohibits extra-marital sex and blocked all ways leading to it. Islam always encourages the employed Muslims to wed the unemployed and unprivileged Muslimahs and vice versa and Allah the Exalted assures of copious rewards to them for this noble deed in the life after death.

Demand of Justice

Mr. Gopalkrishna Gandhi is of the view that the Kerala nurse should be spared the death penalty in Yemen. The gist of his editorial suggests, that if the execution does take place, in spite of India’s appeal, we should take counter measures to teach Yemen a lesson.

I would like to ask him, what about the Yemeni National she slayed, what about his family? Do they not want Justice for their bread earner?

He is highly critical about the law of the Shari’ah, but forgets the sorry state of our own Justice system. A glaring, recent example is of the 12 convicts acquitted in the Mumbai local train blast by the High Court. But after serving two decades in prison, while the prosecution was trying to pin the blame.

After the accused lost 20 years of their adulthood, our system says they are innocent. With what face do we demand Justice abroad, where the crime is proved.
