The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore successfully hosted a ‘Hajj Guidance Camp – 2024’ for prospective Hajees at The Wedding Palace Hall in Podanur. The event, held on May 20 aimed to prepare pilgrims for their upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

The keynote address was delivered by Moulavi Mohammed Riyasdeen Ashari, who spoke on the ‘Soul of Hajj’. He articulated that Hajj is far more than a series of rituals to seek Allah’s blessings. Instead, it represents the ultimate act of submission to the Creator. Moulavi Ashari urged the pilgrims to prepare their hearts for complete devotion, which is crucial for gaining Allah’s approval.

Following this, Moulavi Mohammed Ismayil Imdadhi presented an insightful PowerPoint presentation on ‘Performing Hajj & Umrah’. His presentation, rich with spiritual and historical insights, stressed that Hajj should be an opportunity for pilgrims to abandon their sins and commit to leading a spiritually and morally clean life upon their return.

The camp received positive feedback from attendees.
