The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has expressed serious concern on and raised doubts about the recent communal tensions which arose at different parts in the country and disrupted the peaceful environment. The JIH has urged the government to take some concrete, stern measures to curb the ongoing menace so as to restore the environment of peace and brotherhood in the country. The Jamaat Secretary General, Mr. Nusrat Ali, in a press statement, expressed grief over the communal riots and said it seems that the riots were a conspiracy and executed with a well-hatched plan. He said now it is the duty of the government to use its full potential to find out the real causes which led to rioting, and punish those who are found guilty.
The Jamaat leader said Muslims should keep abreast with their situation and surroundings and unite against the evil elements of the society and quell them by wisdom, law of the land and high moral standards along with the infinite wisdom of the Qur’ān and the methodology of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him). He hoped that the effort of quelling the evil with good (if Allah wills) will definitely prove to be successful and will help in making the environment full of peace and joy.
