It refers to revelation about former IPS officer Kiran Bedi charging full Business Class fare from organisers inviting her for lectures, and instead availing hefty discount on air-tickets for her being gallantry-award winner that too by travelling in economy-class. Her clarification about saving the funds so saved for some good cause through her non-government-organisations (NGOs) would have been valid to some extent if her office would not have specifically asked for full air-fare through Business Class travel. But if media reports like of her office demanding full Business Class air-fare from Hidayatullah National Law University (Raipur) despite her being given such a fare already by Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (Raipur) for the same day sometime in January 2011 are correct, then it is definitely a matter of great impropriety which should even deprive her from the gallantry medal for misuse of benefits of the medal, apart from being investigated by concerned agencies.
