The Rohtas District Administration has swung into action after the orders of the High Court and saved the Sher Shah’s Mausoleum from destruction. The intelligentsia has applauded the efforts of the Rohtas District Administration in this regard. While on the other hand the communal forces have vehemently opposed the action and are out on the rumour-mongering campaign. The Puja Samiti had submitted a review petition to the Chief Justice of Patna High Court. But the Samiti suffered a setback when the High Court rejected the review petition and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000/- for wasting the time of the Court. This has created a big quandary for the Samiti. Renowned journalist Alok Chamaria thanked the secular people of the area for campaigning with him for the removal of tank surrounding the mausoleum and making it a point for tourist attraction. It should be recalled that Mr. Chamaria had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in this regard.
