The communal tension that started in Behraich district, U.P. after a man was shot dead in the night of August 23, is now showing the signs of decline. According to the reports, the man was shot near a place of worship, which led to stoning and violent tussle between the two groups.
However, the situation is now under control and no fresh case of violence or stoning has been reported after that. The prayers on the last Friday of Ramadhan did not witness any disharmony and tension either and were offered peacefully by the Muslims.
The Special Director General Police, Mr. Brij Lal has deployed a strong cohort of police and PAC men, whereas the senior officials of the area are monitoring the situation under their nose.
