The Khudabakhsh Khan Oriental Library,Patna organised a special religious and spiritual programme while celebrating Khudabakhsh Day, on Aug. 3.
The event began with the recitation of the Quran by QariAkram, former teacher at Madrasa Islamia Shamsul Huda. This was followed by Shakil Shamsi presenting a Naat. Scholars present emphasised that the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺare essential for society today.
Maulana Rizwan Ahmad Islahi, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Bihar, stated that the Prophet Muhammad’s mission was to connect humanity with Allah. He said, “Prophet Muhammad set an example of humanity, patience, and morality. In today’s world of disorder and moral decline, the solution lies in the Prophet’s Seerah.”
He further noted that the Prophet was a mercy not only for Muslims but for all of humanity. He added, “The Prophet forgave his enemies, granted rights to women, and taught compassion even toward animals and birds. The Prophet’s life offers guidance even in the smallest matters.”
Maulana Rizwan added that sincerely adopting the Prophet’s Seerah can bring peace to life and harmony to society. He added, “The Holy Quran guides us toward moral excellence.”
The programme concluded with discussions on the historical and cultural role of the Khudabakhsh Library, with a resolve to pass its legacy on to future generations.
