After singer Asha Bhonsle baited Raj Thackeray by saying that Mumbai is for all Indians, the Supreme Court warned Raj Thackeray of litigational consequences if the MNS chief did not stop making hate speeches and curb his belligerent attitude towards North Indians. Hearing a plea for stay of trial in three more cases filed in Jharkhand, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh relating to his 2008 hate speech in Mumbai, a Bench comprising Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justice B.S. Chauhan said the MNS chief would continue to be mired in litigation if he did not put an end to his hate speeches. “You (Raj Thackeray) are still going on making statements. There will be cases against you if you do not stop making speeches like this,” said Justice Balakrishnan.
