I am not a political analyst, therefore resist the temptation to write about the political situation prevailing in our country. And, the mainstreammedia is full of news and analysis about the just concluded Lok Sabha election.
But while talking to a close colleague of mine, who writes about politics and has his ear to the ground, as to the changing situation of India, said, “Modi is now walking on crutches.”
This one-liner explains the result of the election.
Though both the blocs, the NDA and INDIA, are claiming victory, yet one thing is for sure, the wings of Mr. Modi are clipped, though he has been sworn in as PM. The juggernaut, the roller coaster ride, the wave, have been stopped. His tall claim of, “ab ki baar, chaarsaupaar” has been reduced to 240, not even achieving the qualifying mark of 272.
So, the crutches are Mr. Naidu and Mr. Nitish, among others. Mr. Naidu and Mr. Nitish are going to make life hell for Modi, who was surely on the path to ‘Dictatorship’.
The life of ease and comfort of the winning streak of Modi is now no more.

Let PM Modi Honour the NDA Coalition Support
The recent results of the Lok Sabha elections in which the DMK-led alliance has made a clean sweep by winning all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and the neighbouring Union Territory of Puducherry.
The T.N. Chief Minister and DMK chief M.K. Stalin has recently accused PM Narendra Modi of employing “cheap tactics” to stoke confrontation between states at his “propaganda of communal hatred” failed to benefit the BJP during campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. And attacking for his “imaginary tales and bags of lies,” and allegations that leaders from Southern states were speaking derogatory about the people of Uttar Pradesh, said that Modi “has forgotten the dignity of the prime minister’s office, spreading a new lie each day sowing seeds of hatred every hour.”
The irresponsible speeches of the PM Modi and the silence of the Election Commission in curbing them are being watched by the citizens of the country with shock and dismay, Stalin said.
My suggestion to Mr. Modi is that those days have gone, now he should honour the NDA coalition support.

Islamophobicfilm HamareBaarahreleased amidst controversies
The Islamophobic film HamareBaarah has faced several controversies, even before the trailer was out. The Annu Kapoor-starrer was all set to release on June 7 but on June 5, the Bombay High Court put a stay order on its release until June 14. But on June 7, the High Court agreed to clear the release after the makers agreed to delete dialogues that were deemed objectionable by the petitioner.
The Karnataka Government has also decided not to release the controversial film in the state. According to the Karnataka government, if it is allowed to be released in the state, it would cause conflict between the various communities. The authorities came to this judgment after looking over the requests from several delegations and minority organizations and after watching the teaser.
However, the Bombay High Court has allowed the release of the controversial movie. The decision was announced on Friday after the makers of the film agreed to delete two dialogues from their movie. Thus, the film was released on June 7.
