Will Demolish Telangana Secretariat Domes, Says Central Minister Bandi Sanjay

Bandi Sanjay slammed former chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for building the domes. Stating that the domes don’t reflect the culture of Telangana, he alleged that this was done to please AIMIM president AsaduddinOwaisi.

Hyderabad, Sep 7: After entering the newly-constructed Telangana Secretariat for the first time, Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar reiterated that he would demolish the domes of the Secretariat, once BJP comes to power in the state.

Sanjay, known for his provocative speeches, spoke after visiting the Secretariat along with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after an aerial survey of flood-hit Khammam district.

The central ministers were in the Secretariat to meet Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the relief measures in flood-hit areas.

Sanjay, who represents Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, did not speak about flood relief measures while talking to media persons after coming out but shared how he felt on seeing those domes. He said he was unable to bear the sight of those domes.

The BJP leader stated that he is committed to his word that once the BJP comes to power in the state, these domes will be demolished.

He has always maintained that the new secretariat looks like Taj Mahal which is a ‘samadhi’.

In February last year, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, as the then state BJP president, had said that if BJP comes to power in the state, it would demolish the domes of the new state Secretariat building as they reflect the culture of Nizams.

The new secretariat building was inaugurated last year. The seven-storey structure with a built-up area of 7 lakh square feet and equipped with all modern facilities has been constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 650 crore near Hussain Sagar lake….
