The Majlis Bachau Tehreek (MBT) on 3 April demanded a CBI probe into the inclusion of over one lakh bogus voters in the electoral rolls of Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. In a media statement, MBT leader Amjedullah Khan Khaled alleged that bogus voters were included in the list by an organised political mafia being run by MIM leaders in connivance with some senior officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and other departments.

He informed that in a complaint lodged before the Returning Officer of Yakutpura Vandan Kumar, MBT spokespersons Majeedullah Khan Farhat submitted a list of 18,600 bogus voters in Yakutpura Assembly segment. Earlier on 31 March, MBT President Dr Khayam Khan had submitted a list of 21,200 bogus voters to Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh Bhanwarlal and District Election Officer & GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar.
