The October 6 Juhu rave party which went terribly awry is aback once again in the news albeit wrong reasons. If the Mumbai police were to be believed 109 out of the 231 youths arrested by the police in a raid at the party have tested positive for the banned drugs. The arrested include 37 girls. Kalina Forensic Science Laboratory confirmed that the urine samples of the accused contained LSD, cocaine, Ecstasy, marijuana and hashish. Once proved guilty the accused would face up to six months imprisonment. It is suspected that the grandson of a notorious gangster and a druglord of yesteryears are among those who had tested positive. Seven suspected drug peddlers – Rahul Karmarkar, Rajesh Talwar, Salil Roy, Valen Betro, Sameer Shah, Salil Kothari and Kashish Malkani were arrested from the party venue. DJ Ben Huen Shauy Simon, an Israeli, too was rounded up. They were booked under various sections of NDPS Act for sale, distribution, possession and consumption of drugs.
