The Maharashtra government has decided to open 35 new ITIs exclusively for minorities. The government will finalise the scheme very soon. Making an announcement to this effect at All India Muslim Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held recently, Minister for Medical and Technical Education of Maharashtra Rajesh Tope said the government has changed its approach towards the Muslim community after going through the Sachar Committee Report and steps are being taken to strengthen the community technically.
