A 576-year old manuscript of Al Sahih Lil Bukhari commonly known as Bukhari Sharif has been found at Astana-e-Shahbazia in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Also an Akbar Nama which was written in gold was found there. Mr. Intikhab Alam Shahbazi, head of Astana, while displaying the manuscript of Bukhari Sharif said that it was written in 1436 C.E. The manuscript is written in the Arabic language and runs through 396 pages.
The Akbar Nama which was written by Abul Fazl Faizi during the period of Mughal emperor Akbar is also 450 years old. Its pages are decorated with gold. It runs through 998 pages and provides details about different wars of the time.
