There seems to be a sort of movement among the tolerant and the broad-minded to bring home “Husainsaab”, that is, the celebrated M.F. Husain. The intellectuals who find it unbearable to hear the anguished cry of the tormented artist pining for Mumbai must realise that “Hussainsaab” can walk into his dear Mumbai any time he wants. Only he has to apologise for offending a whole community by painting their revered gods and goddesses in the grotesque and offensive postures and agree to destroy that work. He will be surprised to see how generous the same people are when it will then come to the court cases pending against him.
