This refers to the Report on Muzaffarnagar riot victims published in Radiance (24-30 November). The news is both shocking and traumatising. The heartless administration should have thought at least for a while what they are demanding and from whom. All the tongues got wagging when a circular of the Uttar Pradesh Government mentioned about a package that it was meant for rehabilitation of Muslim victims and many forced the government to withdraw the same and issue, in its place, another one for all the victims of the riots instead of healing the wound of only Muslims. It was really a good step but where are those gentlemen this time? No one seems taking notice of this discrimination and gross injustice against the victims of the riots. This trend, if not noticed this time, will open a new chapter in the book of discrimination in future.
