Mr. Abhinav Bindra has become a shining and proud national star in winning the historic gold medal for shooting and bringing laurels to the country. His hard and long practice and strong determination has paid dividends to him. At the same time one cannot forget the great encouragement his father Mr. A.S. Bindra extended to him by spending huge amounts for providing necessary infrastructure for him in his own place. Both of them deserve appreciation and thanks from one and all.
The governments at the Centre and in the States should take a lesson from the Abhinav achievement and come forward to encourage sportsmen by helping them in all ways and providing necessary infrastructure and coaches for them to enable to get training and prove their mettle. Actually it is the lack of arrangements and encouragement which keeps our country backward in the field of sports.
