It is a welcome sign that the Ummah has awakened and is showing unity and solidarity at least with Palestine, arranging rallies, protests, submitting memorandums, and condemning Israel’s atrocities and barbaric acts against innocent people of Palestine. Israeli forces are killing women, children, even not sparing hospitals and ambulances carrying the injured and destroying schools and targeting residents in the holy month of Ramadhan when our Muslim countries and Europe are busy in watching football world cup.
At least this time the third world countries’ poor Muslims have awakened and showed solidarity. Particularly Indian Muslims, young, old, women and men all are active in support of Palestine.
But how good could it be if we Muslims of India gear up to unite and show the same spirit in our national affairs like rape, corruption, child labour, women’s dignity and safety and become voice of the voiceless, arrange rallies, protests and submit memorandums. Is it not the duty of the Ummah to take interest in our national affairs? Let us join hands and show our unity and strength to build a peaceful, progressive and better India.

All are Based on Sunnah
Small differences in Salat procedure among various recognised Mazhabs of Islam are all based on Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be to him). The Salat was established during the lifetime of the Prophet on the basis of practice of the Prophet. Salat was not established by Hadith in the first few generations as Hadith was systematically collected much later.
The Prophet’s Companions went to various cities and the Muslims there followed them.Imam Malik followed the Companions or Tabiun of Madina. Imam Abu Hanifa followed the Tabiun of Kufa who in turn followed the Sahabi Abdullah ibn Masud. Even if no Hadith has come down on some Hanafi practice, it does not matter as the Salat is actually based on practised Sunnah of Iraq, particularly Kufa.
Imam Shafie followed Tabi Tabiun of his area and so on. So there is no point in arguing about Salat of various Mazhabs and Ahle Hadith. All are based on Sunnah of the Prophet. We should give up arguing over this matter.
