All India Milli Council, in its general body meeting concluded here Monday, unanimously re-elected Maulana Hakim Abdullah Mughaisi as its president for the next consecutive term. Addressing the members attending the meeting, Maulana Mughaisi said, “All India Milli Council aims to solve the problems of Indian Muslims in the light of law of the land and the Constitution rather than on sensational politics. It is necessary that all Muslim societies, organisations, institutions, madrasa graduates, Muslim leaders, scholars and social workers play their active role in the progress and advancement of the community.” The Council also elected five vice-presidents. They are Ameer-e-Shariat Karnataka Maulana Mufti Ashraf Ali Baqwi, president All India Taalimi Foundation Maulana Asrarul Haque Qasmi, Maulana Abdul Ahad Qasmi Tarapuri of Anand, Dr. Yasin Ali Osmani of Badayun and Maulana Syed Abdul Hafeez Mazahri of Cuttack.
