The executive committee of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, on 22 June, met in Delhi to discuss the intervention of courts in personal laws of Muslims. After the meeting, while talking to the media, Maulana Abdur Raheem Quraishi, the spokesperson of the Board, said the problem arises when one among us challenges the decree of Shari’ah Court in a civil court. He further added that some of the judges in the Shari’ah Court cross their limit as well. The Board decided in the meeting to provide legal assistance for the Shari’ah courts popularly known as Darul Qaza.
