Yet another bomb blast and yet another heinous attempt to disrupt communal harmony in the country.  The 700-year old Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer is a symbol of secularism where thousands of men and women coming from all religions throng every day.  That a group of people who had assembled for breaking the fast of Ramadhan at the fag-end of the holy month were targeted shows how heartless the perpetrators of the crime are.  No sooner such attacks take place, it has become rhetoric for our politicians and the media to jump to conclusions that terror outfits across the borders are behind the attacks.  It has become routine for the Home Department also to point the accusing finger towards the Muslims and paint the members of the community as ‘terrorists’. More than one hundred Muslim youth were arrested after the twin blasts in Hyderabad and have not been released so far.  How the families of those innocent men would have spent Eid-ul-Fitr when the whereabouts of most of the arrested was not disclosed by the police is anybody’s guess.  No wonder if the Rajasthan police too take the cue from Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh to arrest a few dozens of ‘Muslim terrorists’ for killing their own brothers in Ajmer Shareef!
