Allah Loves to Forgive His Servants

Abu Dharr relates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven.

Abu Dharr relates that the Messenger of Allah  said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with sins enough to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.”

(Sahih Muslim)

Man is bound to err. Even if he tries to lead a pious life in accordance with Islamic Shari’ah, it is not possible for him to lead a completely error-free life. Then the only way open for him is to turn to Allah, the Most Merciful and Most Beneficent, Who has promised to forgive him.

If man performs a good deed, Allah rewards him ten times and even more. But if he commits an evil deed, Allah records only one evil deed or may forgive him. If a person seeks His forgiveness, Allah responds to him with greater affection and compassion. The only condition is that man must not associate any partners with Him. The hadith shows that Allah loves to forgive his servants.
