An Open Letter of Support to Dr Zakir Naik

Dear Dr Naik,

ASAK

It is with great dismay that we heard the news of a ban on your entry in Britain and Canada despite the fact that your purpose was nothing but to propagate Islam’s Concept of True Peace. The ban further proves that the Champions of New World Order use “Freedom of Expression” only as a stick to beat the opponents; and when it comes to them they hardly miss any opportunity to throttle any voice of dissent. No surprise then that thousands are harbouring in prisons across the Western world for “Thought Crimes”.  Their duplicity is nothing but aimed at perpetuating an Order that is based on commercialisation of human weaknesses and hegemony of West on the world in the garb of globalisation. Their duplicity in effect means that

Anyone who promotes nudity is welcome; anyone who supports Hijab is unwelcome;

Anyone who promotes promiscuity is welcome; anyone who supports polygamy is unwelcome;

Anyone who promotes homosexuality as Natural is welcome; anyone who describes it as unhealthy and a threat to the very survival of mankind and family system is unwelcome;

Anyone who specifically opposes female feticide is welcome; anyone who opposes both feticide as a whole (male and female) is unwelcome;

Anyone who opposes American killing of people in Muslim countries is welcome; anyone who supports Muslim reprisal against West is unwelcome;

Anyone who supports Israeli actions is welcome; anyone who opposes Israel is unwelcome;

If you support what they think is right, you are civilized and lover of freedom; if you oppose what they think is right, you are barbarians and hate mongers.

You are specifically targeted because of the extraordinary impact you are making on the minds of the people in general and Muslim youth in particular. With the growth of zeal for Islam in young, they fear the goals of globalisation will be hard to achieve.

WORD OF CAUTION

You have already emerged as perhaps the most popular figure among Muslims of the Indian subcontinent and you are well known among Western Muslims as well. You are certainly one of those who can revolutionise the world. The popularity you have achieved is not easy to achieve for anyone; and it will be a great misfortune if you fail to bank on this popularity. It is therefore the need of the time that you tread very cautiously and make every possible effort to earn sympathies rather than hostilities. The ultimate aim of Islam is to unite the whole mankind under the banner of Islam; and you have to keep that in mind when you prepare your strategies. I am giving a few suggestions:

First. Answers on the spot can certainly sensationalise your lectures; but they carry the risk of overstatements or understatement; even factual errors. Sometimes on spot answers lack in fine-tuning that sensitive issues require. You may have to rethink about this strategy in your future discourses;

Second; there should never be an impression that you are siding with one or the other sects of Islam. You need not always answer questions that have sectarian overtones;

Third; we have to change our strategy of debating with Hindus and Christians on doctrinal issues. The challenge to Islam and peace in today’s world comes not from Christianity or Islam but from the forces of Globalisation. We have to unite all religions against these forces; and you can play a very important role in this regard.

Howsoever eminent a person is, one should always remain ears to suggestions and ready to revise his strategies. I hope your mission will only gain in strength with every hurdle that the enemies of true peace put in your way. You will Insha Allah emerge triumphant soon.

Lastly, I will renew my condemnation of those who are trying to bury the voices of Islam by spreading canards and misinformation.

May Allah help all of us in our rightful endeavours!
