And Now Delhi : Khan Yasir

After Bangalore and Ahmedabad it was sadly the turn of Delhi. The recurring terrorist strikes all over the nation have proved one fact beyond any doubt that equally bad is the performance of our security agencies. A logical question is that if our investigating agencies are on the right track then why there is augmentation in the terror strikes? And if they are on the wrong track, what steps are taken after this blast to punish the real and not the perceived perpetrators? In my humble opinion investigating agencies are needed to seriously rethink their ‘Islamic terrorism hypothesis’ – masterminded by the foreigners and operated through the homegrown terrorists – and must carry forward the investigations from other dimensions too. For example political reading of the blasts is too essential when the elections are around the corner. Which political party is gaining politically through these blasts is a pertinent question. Investigators must pursue through the blasts cases in Kanpur and Thane. Above all this must be very clear that being sentimental on the part of citizens will only worsen the predicament.
