In a significant development in the ongoing Dabri Qabristan case at the Dwarka Court in South West Delhi, the court, while providing relief to the Waqf Qabristan Karbala Committee, dismissed the plea of illegal encroachers, thus delivering a historic verdict.

It is noteworthy that this historic verdict has stirred unease among those attempting illegal encroachment and engaging in unauthorized parking and illicit activities in the area.

The court, in its judgment, not only deemed it unnecessary to make the Waqf Board a party to the case but also stated that no individual or organization can claim rights over the Waqf Qabristan’s property. Additionally, the Waqf Qabristan Committee, through Advocate Raees Ahmad, had filed a case last year seeking permission for burial in the Dabri Qabristan, and the court had ruled in favor of the committee, dismissing a similar plea filed by the illegal committee. In its order, the court upheld the sanctity of the Waqf Qabristan, a property dating back 100 years, by not recognizing it as private property.

In this context, the Waqf Committee of Dabri Qabristanhonored Advocate Raees Ahmad for this historic victory, along with expressing gratitude to other members of the legal team, including Advocates Shiv Kumar Chauhan, Aslam Ahmad, Tariq Farooqui, and others.
