This refers to your Editorial (Radiance, 23 Feb-1 March). The issue raised therein needs heed of all. In fact, choosing a religion and practising it in life is completely a personal matter of an individual. In free India, no one can stop anyone from practising a religion of his own choice. All the talks of personal freedom seem hypocrite when one’s right to free will is being slain in one form or another. How a state can enact such an unjust law! This is extremely paradoxical to the Freedom of Religion guaranteed by the Constitution of India. The responsible citizens of the country should mull over it and try getting this unconstitutional law repealed with immediate effect.
