Association for Protection of Civil Rights on 10 March launched its chapter in Andhra Pradesh. Former member of Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission, Justice E. Ismail, will head the association in the state. “The association will provide legal assistance for those implicated in different fabricated cases as well as making people aware of their civil rights,” said Abdul Jabbar Siddiqui, state secretary of Andhra Pradesh chapter. The state chapter has 50 members as of now and it has decided to concentrate on the capital, Hyderabad, for a few months before spreading its hands to other districts. The state chapter has understanding with state legal services activities.
