Aren’t These POTA Cases?

The finger of suspicion on the recent blasts in Assam has once again pointed towards the HuJI. The BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate L.K. Advani used the tragedy for crying wolf over the “infiltration” in Assam from Bangladesh.  But why Mr. Advani looks the other way to the internal threat coming to the country in the shape of religious acrimony.  Mr. Advani did not utter a single word on the arrest of a Sadhvi and two former army personnel on their role in the Malegaon and Modasa blasts.  Thanks to him, at least for now, he did not join Bal Thackeray – his partner in the hate campaign, who openly sided with the accused in Malegaon blasts in an editorial of Saamna. The recent arrest of an engineering student Arun Surya in Kochi has exposed the fallacy of terror mails being sent by Muslim organisations.  In a terror mail sent to President Pratibha Patil, the boy used a pseudonym and signed “Rehmatullahi Berkathu” to score a personal score with a Muslim friend.  There are reports of a series of physical attacks on Muslim inmates in a jail in Mangalore at the incitement of a Bajrang Dal leader who was lodged in the jail in connection with the recent attacks on churches in Karnataka. Are these not the acts of terror Mr. Advani? And are these not the cases to be booked under POTA?
