President of Jamiat-e-Ulema Hind, Maulana Arshad Madani met with the Prime Minister in New Delhi on July 10 and discussed some of the core issues related to Muslims. He urged the PM to give compensation to the innocent Muslim youths who spent the best part of their life behind the bars and prosecute those who were responsible for making them spend their years in jails. He further demanded reservation for Muslims in other fields. In a memorandum handed over to the PM, Maulana Madani, besides presenting other agendas, pressed for immediate action on the above mentioned issues. He further spoke about the recent wave of riots in UP which is making the Muslims suspicious and said that the Home Ministry could not control the situation which is a dangerous sign. The PM listened to the demands of Maulana Madani sincerely and assured of taking immediate actions.
