The women’s wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka zone held different programmes in the state to ask women to uphold Islamic values. While addressing a convention in Mangalore, Sajidunnisa, state convenor of the women’s wing of JIH, said a woman’s priority should be establishing her identity at home before going to make a career outside. “Today most of the women, after building their career, neglect their children and family. It is due to such an attitude that the families are suffering,” she said adding that the women are aspiring for Miss World and Miss Universe and they are lacking to become good mothers, sisters and  homemakers.

If a mother cares for her baby boy in instilling respect to girls and women; he would not be dangerous to women at any stage of his life.  Similarly, if a mother cares for her baby girl and teaches her moral values in her very childhood, it would help her keep from social evils, she said.
