Dr. Salimuddin Ahmed, Assistant Director Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, Patna, and son of Anisuddin Ahmed, former Ameer Halqa, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar, breathed his last on 31 January. He was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment at Batra Hospital in New Delhi. He is survived by five sons and one daughter as well as his wife.
In another case, a senior teacher of Hadith at renowned Islamic seminary, Nadwatul Ulama, Maulana Abdullah Hasani breathed his last on 30 January in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was 55. The deceased was founder editor of the Arabic magazine, Al Baa’th Al Islami, and son-in-law of Syed Rabe Hasani Nadawi, the director of Nadwatul Ulama.
