AWQAF HIGHLY SUPPORTIVE OF AWARENESS CENTRE

Director of the Awareness Centre for the Development of Arab-Western relations, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Adsani said that the General Secretariat of Awqaf is supportive of the centre through its quest in developing cultural awareness and bridging the gap between cultures. Al-Adsani said that since the establishment of the Centre in October 2003, it had achieved greatly through in nearing views and dialogues, and consolidating the principle of peaceful coexistence. He said that a documentary film has been produced, illustrating the true experience of the awareness centre, displayed in the local channels and the World Conference for Training and Development in the United States of America last month. Al-Adsani said the second project is a book entitled The journey of a westerner to Kuwait, a group of stories illustrating the kind generosity of the Kuwaiti people. The Centre’s activities consist of organising weekly gatherings to discuss various topics with the participation of a number of ambassadors to the country and members of the Western communities, Al-Adsani clarified.
