A girl child born with a minor congenital anomaly who was buried alive by her parents was rescued by a villager on July 30. The incident occurred at a remote village of Kamakkapalli in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, reports said. The baby girl was born at a local hospital with a congenital abnormality. Her mother then forced the doctor to discharge her on the following day and went home and buried the baby alive.
However, as luck would have it, a shepherd woman found the girl who was half-buried in the sand and carried her to the village and informed the neighbours when the whole episode came to light, reports added. The parents of the child were identified as Latha and Sekhar and the baby is their first child. The child was admitted to hospital and the parents have accepted her. No case of crime was so far registered with the police.
