The Children Islamic Organization (CIO) of Sharalkoppa launched a summer Islamic camp on May 20, which culminated on May 27 with a grand “Back to School” rally. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of over 60 students, who marched through the streets and alleys of Sharalkoppa, chanting slogans emphasizing the importance of education and urging the public to enroll their children in schools.

Sharalkoppa boasts three CIO centers, all of which participated in the rally. Mentors and students from each center came together for this significant event. Shabana Parveen, the in-charge of the Umar Farooq Mosque Center, explained the purpose of the summer Islamic camp. She highlighted how daily literary and cultural competitions, alongside religious education, underscored the importance of worldly knowledge. She stressed that education is the cornerstone of both individual and national development. The initiative aims to bridge educational gaps regardless of religious and community differences, urging parents to prioritize school admissions for their children, particularly those who have dropped out.

Tasneem Parveen, responsible for another center, reinforced the rally’s message with the slogan “Education for Every Home,” emphasizing the need to educate both boys and girls equally.
