Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on April 23 demanded that Hindu extremist organisation Bajrang Dal should also be banned like SIMI. Talking to pressmen at Indore, Singh alleged that Bajrang Dal and its affiliate organisations make bombs and give bomb-making training to their cadres. He said these organisations are responsible for communal riots in the country. On the arrest of Muslim youth in the name of anti-SIMI campaign, Singh warned against the arrest of innocent people in the name of SIMI. He said this would not be tolerated.
