It refers to Union Information & Broadcasting Ministry resisting right approach of Union Health Ministry to impose a ban on cola-advertisements. It is unfortunate that in India, lust for revenue by the government make commoners suffer from diseases caused by harmful products. A total ban on cigarettes like Ireland and Bhutan is also not imposed to avoid loss of revenue even though the fact remains that government spends much more on diseases caused by smoking and heavy publicity-money on advertisements against smoking. Since cola-drinks are responsible for diseases in children like obesity and others, a total ban on cola-advertisements should be imposed like is on liquor and cigarettes.
