It is a matter of satisfaction that Supreme Court slammed Mayawati-government in UP for its misuse of public money in erecting statues. Glorification of self or mentors by political rulers should be stopped by Union government by formulating rules to erect any statue either at central level or by state-governments. Mulayam Singh Yadav is on record to have said that if his party regains power in the state, statues erected by Mayawati-government would be uprooted. Such a situation will cause tension apart from wasting public-money. Moreover erecting statues in life-time should be completely banned.
Likewise the Union government should totally ban photo-publicity of political rulers and other living personalities at public-expense through media-advertisements.
