The President Kodagu District Congress Committee, Veena Achaiah, has said the State Government of Karnataka should impose a ban on Hindutva organisations for creating anarchy in the State, including attacks on churches. Speaking to presspersons she said after the Bharatiya Janata Party assumed power in the State, several churches had been attacked. Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa had failed to rein in the divisive forces responsible for spreading violence in society. So, the Congress party would petition the Governor to dismiss the Yeddyurappa government in the State, she said. Members of the Kodagu District Congress are also planning to stage a dharna in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner to register their protest against the misrule of the State Government, she added.
