It refers to banning of advertisement of a deodorant on TV channels for being vulgar and obscene. Earlier also, similar bans were imposed on vulgar and obscene advertisements. The Union Government should not only ban such advertisements but also book the advertiser, models and others associated with production and airing such advertisement under various sections relating to obscenity in public so that no one may dare using women for vulgar publicity of their products.
Even banning such advertisements after being aired for long, benefits advertisers because it makes their products as news-item for even wider publicity, and that too absolutely free. As such many companies deliberately put such obscene advertisements despite knowing that these will be banned. The Union Government should set up a Censor-Board for screening advertisement-films.
