Fenugreek is one of the most readily available herbs replete with plenty of health benefits. Fenugreek is called Methi in Urdu/Hindi and is very rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron and contains high amount of minerals and vitamins as well. The chemical composition of Methi seeds depicts that it contains proteins and Amino acids in ratios comparable to milk. Fenugreek is rich in Lecithin, an important nutrient, which helps in increasing the memory or retention power of brain. The best part of Methi seeds is that the side effects related to it are very uncommon. It is very effective in treating stomach disorders and its consumption removes fatigue and tiredness as well, as it is a good source of iron and vitamin B-complex.

One of the major benefits of Methi is that it helps reduce glucose level in blood and urine. Methi seeds contain an amino acid which starts the production of insulin in the body which in turn helps in lowering the level of blood sugar.
