The Congress has shown some sanity in axing the candidatures of Jadish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar; it had no other option. Nemesis has finally caught them up and I am sure it won’t be long before the BJP faces the same with Narendra Modi for his role in the 2002 Gujarat riots. The BJP party members feel that Modi’s case is different from the above two since he has not even been chargesheeted. Well, in spite of CBI’s clean chit to Tytler twice, isn’t the truth self-evident? Similarly, even if there is no chargesheet against Modi, his role as the chief-architect behind the Gujarat pogrom cannot be ruled out by any sane person.
