The negative role of media and investigating agencies comes to light every now and then. In regard of recent serial blast in Patna, the investigating agencies raided the home of a suspect in Ranchi and found there, among many other household things, a calendar of Students Islamic Organisation of India. The media, both print and electronic, even in their Delhi edition highlighted the calendar for one reason or another. One can ask a question as to why the calendar is being highlighted in this manner. Wasn’t there a phone of Nokia or Samsung Company and a ceiling fan with the logo of some company? This is a clear case of discrimination and aimed at denigrating one’s image. The SIO should go through legal proceedings against this bias.
