Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra, Shivrajya Party, Muslim Intellectual Forum Mumbai, and Bharisp Bahujan Mahasangh jointly organised a discussion to mark “Boycott Israel Day” on 15 May. A press statement issued by Mohammad Aslam Ghazi, Secretary Jamaat –e- Islami Hind Maharashtra on 15 May said inter alia:
“Creation of “The Terrorist State” Israel on 15 May 1948 is the biggest injustice in human history. The Palestinians, the Muslim world and the peace and justice loving people of the civilized world observe this day as ‘Yaum-al-Nakabah’ viz. the Day of Catastrophe.
“Since then Israel has killed more than two million innocent Palestinians. Since three generations about three million Palestinians are living as refugees in other countries. The 3.5 million Palestinians are living a miserable life due to constant Israeli attacks and its inhuman siege.
“Sixty-five years of the continuous injustices to Palestinian people has not awakened the world conscience. Pro-Palestinian Foreign Policy of many countries including India is tilting towards the rouge state of Israel.
“In this background we appreciate the bold step taken by the world renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, who refused to attend and boycotted a seminar arranged by Israel. We also welcome Google for recognising and including Palestine as an independent country in its world map. We also laud the truthful statement of Mr. Ron Paul the former presidential candidate of USA that Israel and Mossad are the real criminals of the 9/11 air attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in America.
“In this perspective we appeal to the leaders and all the justice and peace loving people of India and the world to boycott the rouge and terrorist state of Israel.”
