Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Delhi has strongly condemned the sudden demolition of Wakeel Hasan’s residence by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Hasan, known for his heroic act of saving 41 trapped laborers in Uttarakhand, found his home razed to the ground without prior notice.

Hasan, a rat-hole miner residing in Khajoori, Delhi, had led a team to rescue laborers trapped in a tunnel in Uttarakhand a few months ago. However, on Wednesday, his own home became the target of demolition by the DDA, leaving his family, including his wife and three children, homeless.

Salimullah Khan, JIH Delhi President, expressed deep concern over the unjust action taken against Hasan and his family. He denounced the DDA’s move, stating that it was unethical and shameful to bulldoze the home of someone who had brought pride to the nation.

According to reports, Hasan accused the DDA of carrying out the demolition without his presence and forcibly evicting his children from the premises. The incident has sparked outrage among the community, with many condemning the authorities’ callous behavior towards Hasan’s family.
